MN Houses Update

by Nate Thompson

Everyone asks me how is the Minnesota houses market doing?  There are a zillion different statistics out there and things are literally different depending on location, price point and more.  I have seen some statistics saying things are up, inventory is down, and all is rosy.  Then the next day you read something that says MN house prices are down, homes aren’t selling and its all doom and gloom.  So, where are we really at?

In the last month, I have represented MN house buyers that we found ourselves in multiple offers.  I talked to the listing agent on this fine listing, and she had 5 showings the first day and 6 showings the next day, and the home was sold in 2 days on the MN houses market.  Think those sellers are happy with the current Minnesota housing market?

I also have a MN house buyer looking under $150,000 in the southern metro and again, we are racing to be first to see the house, and they are being sold in multiple offers within a day or two of hitting the market.  A little like the good ol’ days!

I also have seen some listings in the Eden Prairie townhome market that are begging for showings.  One fine end unit townhome is in the Staring lake area, priced at $129,900 and is in mint condition.  In talking and networking with other Eden Prairie realtors everyone is struggling to find buyers for their townhome listings.  Ask a MN townhome seller what they think of the mn home market and they might give a very different opinion.

For those that love statistics, here is a great video clip on to give you a MN houses update.
